The famous Battle of Blood River, so named because the river ran red with the blood of the Zulu’s, is a site not to be missed by any history lover.

KwaZulu Natal is also the home of the Zulu Kingdom and offers an insight into the traditional way of life of the Zulu people. Fully restored villages provide a glimpse of Africa’s ancient cultures and traditions with their vibrant colours and intricate bead and basket work.
